PICTURE BOOKS
Our picture books include alphabet books, Hawaiian legends, an early dictionary, a look-and-find book, and more by local authors and illustrators—some currently live in Hawai‘i, some have a close connection to the Islands whether they went to school here, once lived here, or have family here. We want to give a voice to the writers and artists who truly understand and love the Islands. Many of our books also include additional information for parents and teachers to spark conversation with their keiki—whether that's identifying the sea life that can be found in our waters or providing a recipe they make with their family. All our picture books share something special and unique about the Islands and give kids a deeper understanding and appreciation for all the things they can experience, learn about, and enjoy in Hawai‘i.
