Pele is Hawai‘i’s beloved fire goddess. This story follows Pele as she searches for a home. Along with her little white dog, she travels across the islands and finds many beautiful places, but none of them are the perfect fit. So Pele creates her own home.

The five other titles in the series are: Māui Hooks the Islands, Māui Slows the Sun, Hina, Naupaka, and Hi‘iaka Battles the Wind—all legends that will give kids a wider view of Hawaiian culture, history, and its natural world.
