About the Illustrator |

Born in Paris, France with a family history in graphic design, Yumi Vong was always surrounded by crayons, paint and paper. When the time came, she decided to jump onto the fine art bandwagon at the Maryland Institute College of Art where she focused on illustration, painting and printmaking and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art and a minor in Language and Literature. Soon after, she flew all the way to the happy island of Oahu to greet the sun and surf every morning! She proudly claims Hawai'i as one of her homes. |
